Welcome to the World Scout Movement started in 1907 by Robert Baden-Powell, and in particular to the 256th Bristol Scout Group.

 Today there are well over 25 million members in 210 countries with over 500,000 in the United Kingdom and around 60 in our Group.

 The Scout Association is a youth organisation with all Scout Groups in this country being separate educational charities. We offer the complete range of Scouting activities for boys and girls from 6 years of age.

 A Beaver Scout Colony for 6 – 8 years, a Cub Scout Pack for 8 - 10½ years, a Scout Troop for 10½ - 14 years and a District based Explorer Scout Unit for 14 - 18 years.

Progression from one section to another is automatic. All our Leaders give their time voluntarily and should you wish to help in any way at that level, either as a Leader, assistant, skills instructor or helper then please speak to any existing Leader
